TOMAK WORKSHOP 10-13th August 2019

Welcome to four days of intense deep-diving into the world of the Tombak. Also called the Zarb in persian music, the Tombak is a wooden drum, resting on your thigh, and played by the fingers of both hands. Due to the incredible variety of the sound that is produced by the large drum head and the deep resonance of the wooden goblet shaped body, the drum invites to a universe of detailed sound and playing techniques.
Pedram Khavarzamini is one of the great masters of this instrument and a strict, but warm and friendly teacher. Whether you are professional or amateur, beginner or advanced you will love his sessions, and this drum will be your friend for life.
